A historic club looking to the future

Without forgetting its history and uniqueness, the SC Bastia club has entered a new dynamic which is reflected in :

 

– A cooperative and collaborative approach with all the players who bring the club to life on a daily basis.

 

– The club’s sporting results are improving every season, as are the attendance figures on match nights, which bear witness to the unconditional fervour of the Corsican people.

 

– The return of its “emblematic” coach as technical director, synonymous with a new cycle for the club and hope for its supporters.

 

Strategy

Embodying the modern spirit of Bastia

Sporting Club de Bastia’s popularity on the island is well established.
However, the club’s history, its strong presence on social networks and its role as a rallying point for the Corsican diaspora, both on the mainland and abroad, mean that it also shines on a national scale.

 

In addition to the club’s coat of arms, a strong, proprietary brand territory must support Sporting’s communications to embody its positioning and contribute to its emergence, not least on social networks.

 

More than a simple logo change, this new identity will embody the coming cycle, this renewal.

Creative idea

Tributu è legatu (Tribute and heritage): never forget where you come from

We decided to build on the club’s strong roots and values to bring its brand territory into the digital age.

 

Modernization of the coat of arms while retaining the Bastion and Testa Mora, the Club’s emblems, evolution of the original colors for greater digital impact, work on the iconography to bring together the past and the present, embodying the road travelled and showing the way forward.

Branding

The double horizontal stripe was introduced in 1966. It accompanied the club during the ten glorious years of the 1970s. It then appeared only occasionally, between 2011 and 2016.

 

It is a strong, recognizable identity code, making the accaniti proud.

 

This element, blending tradition and modernity, is intended to become the identity base of the club, creating a strong sense of belonging in the same way as AC Milan, Juventus or Boca Junior.

 

Like a flag, this double stripe must embody the club image. It must guide future generations, and become a recognizable emblem among thousands. “True progress is a tradition that continues.

Logotype

The logotype is part of a logical evolution. Without betraying its origins, its structure has been modernized, while highlighting its historic and emblematic elements: the Bastion, the Testa Mora and the name Sporting Club di Bastia. The lines are simpler and cleaner, the colors more contemporary, and the typography more legible and impactful. All without losing recognition and identification.

SC BASTIA’s new coat of arms honors the club’s heritage, while projecting it into the future. It reflects the club’s historic values through a new dynamic. It is addressed to all accaniti, and to generations to come.

Colors

The color palette revolves around three emblematic hues.

The first is royal blue. Symbolic of the city, its hue has evolved slightly to make it more dynamic and adaptable to new uses.

White, a tribute to the Virgin Mary, also plays an important role in the new brand territory.

Finally, black pays tribute to the victims of Furiani in 1992. This color is used in shades, as in the black border within the logotype.
